Classrooms: At SIS, the classrooms are spacious, vibrant, child friendly, print rich and well lit. Whether it be the gleaming number line on the wall, the colourful craft work strung across the class, or even bulletin boards, each part of the class contributes to the learning experience of the child. The furniture in each classroom is child friendly and safe. The housekeeping staff on duty on each floor ensures that cleanliness in the classroom is maintained at all times.
Smart Boards Supported by Tata Class Edge: Meet Technology, the presiding member of the SIS classroom. Technology in Education is a buzzword today. We have been successful in bringing technology to our classrooms with the introduction of interactive Whiteboards or Smart Boards. These allow students to interact with the lesson content while allowing teachers to integrate a range of resources with their lessons. Technology can be a great way to enable active learning and can be used to learn on one’s own or to collaborate with others. The classroom transforms into an interactive forum for sharing experiences among students, thus helping in widening their analytical faculties.
Library
The school library is a learning resource centre in the widest sense as it houses information resources, expansive reading material and digital data with internet access. The library is well stocked with a wide collection of books on a variety of subjects.

Our association with a reputed hospital ensures that we are able to conduct complete medical check-up of students during the academic year by a panel of doctors, as well as provide first class medical services in case of an emergency.

Computer Lab
The campus has a computer laboratory accessible to students during school hours with advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software to cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum. Students get a chance to gain familiarity with Software Technology and are also able to do comprehensive research for their projects and presentations. Chemistry Lab
The Chemistry lab is well equipped with apparatus and always has sufficient stock of chemicals to perform various experiments and projects as prescribed in CBSE curriculum. The laboratory is designed keeping in mind all the statutory norms and safety standards. It is well ventilated as well as spacious. It has some of the most accurate digital measuring instruments required for measuring chemicals. Separate place for storing chemicals and work tables with acid proof tiles makes it highly safe for the students to perform experiments.
Physics Lab
The Physics lab is equipped with sufficient apparatus required by students in various experiments and for their extended experimentation in projects. The experiments related to various topics in Physics can be performed from the elementary to the most sophisticated level.
Biology Lab
The Biology lab of the school provide all the facilities to the students where they can study their subject with hands on experience. It is well lit and spacious. Precision instruments, charts and models make learning fun and effective. This is a place where our students are given a chance to ‘discover’ before they are ‘told’. Children have the liberty to make models and projects by availing lab facilities.
Maths Lab
At SIS, the Mathematics laboratory is a place where students can experiment and explore patterns and ideas. It is the place to enjoy mathematics through informal exploration. The Maths lab provides an opportunity for the students to discover Mathematics through the methodology of ‘Learning by Doing’. Many of the activities present a problem or a challenge, with the possibility of generating further challenges and problems. The activities help students to visualise, manipulate and reason.
Work Experience Room/Art Room
The ‘Visual Arts’ Room is where expression of creativity and imagination are given wings. It is an outlet for individual thought, visualisation and exploration of inner creativity, expression of imagination and interpretation of ideas, events and environment.
The endeavour is to infuse a sense of aesthetic appreciation in each child, an ability to enjoy and appreciate beauty. The elaborate Art Studio with the skilled faculty guide the children to achieve finesse through numerous techniques.
Western Music/Indian Music/Tabla/Dance Room
Schooling at Somerville International School goes beyond the classrooms into the wider creative world outside. Apart from a keen focus on academics, various creative activities are taught that engage the mental and intellectual faculties of our students.

Multipurpose Hall/Resource Room/Activity Room
Another significant feature that is being extensively utilised as an integral domain of display at the school is the Multipurpose Hall, where a wide spectrum of indoor activities is conducted. Our Activity Room is a vibrant space where students engage in various recreational and creative pursuits for students of Classes Nursery to III. It offers a range of activities such as Art and Craft, board games, sports and group projects. Transportation
Our school runs a number of CNG buses plying to parts of Noida and New Delhi. Each bus is equipped with Global Positioning System device, CCTV cameras, first-aid kit and fire extinguishers. Teachers and trained support staff ensure safety and security of the children in the buses.
